National Day of Prayer

“One Voice United in Prayer”

In 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed into law the amendment unanimously passed by Congress to make the first Thursday of May the official annual day for the 1952 law of the land for a National Day of Prayer. We can mark our calendars every year to participate in fervent prayer for our country and attend scheduled unified public prayer events.

In Macon, it has been said that we have been gathering since 1979. Every second Wednesday of the month, we gather to pray over our local, state, and national elected and appointed government officials. Every first Thursday of May, we gather together to pray over the Seven Pillars of Influence in America.
