The Prayer Collective

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
— Philippians 4:6

The Prayer Collective is the "tip of the spear" for H4HG. It is compromised of intercessors from various churches, denominations, and backgrounds. Intercession serves a significant role in God healing the land, community, and the church.

WHAT DO WE PRAY FOR?

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Collective Leadership

  • Dr. Brenda D. Howard is the Apostolic Overseer of Hope Worldwide Ministries, Inc. She oversees Tabernacle of Prayer Christian Fellowship in Macon and Forsyth, Georgia.

Dr. Howard attended Jacksonville Theological Seminary where she received a bachelor’s degree in theology and her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Christian Counseling. She is the author of several books including: “A Prayer Manual: Warring in The Heavenlies; Life Demands That We Make Decisions; No Longer a Victim, But A Victor.”

Prayer and deliverance are very close to her heart. Standing on God’s Word according to I John 5:14-15, believing that when we pray God hears us and we are confident that when He hears that He will grant us our petitions. Prayer changes things and when we stand in prayer believing, all things are possible.

The work of the ministry has taken her to many countries including the Republic of Panama, Africa, Switzerland, and London, England.

She is the mother of one son and has two grandchildren.

  • Natalie is a wife, a mother, and a grandmother who loves the Lord and His word. Natalie and her husband, Todd, have served in various ministries for over 30 years.  After graduating from University of Georgia and with Macon being her hometown, Natalie moved back to her hometown with her husband to start their careers and obey the calling of the Lord to serve the Macon community with an emphasis to the inner city neighborhoods.

She has experienced God’s faithfulness and has been honored to see God move in amazing ways and create relationships that have encouraged her and her family.  She serves alongside her husband in Awakening Fires Ministries.  The mission of Awakening Fires Ministries is to bring God’s presence to the “hard places” in the city that she has come to love.

Currently, she works closely with the Hope for the Heart of Georgia as a co-captain for the Prayer Collective, which is composed of intercessors and prayer warriors around the city from all denominations and backgrounds.  She enjoys time spent with family, especially her grandbabies.

Prayer Objectives

Intercessorial Positioning

Intercessorial Positioning is akin to the concept of being a "watchman on the wall."

| Research, study, and investigate the spiritual climate of the city. By doing this, the Prayer Collective works to gain a clear and concise means on what to specifically pray for.

| The Prayer Collective is comprised of four (4) District Units. Each District Unit covers a specific geographical area of our region, which allows intercessors to focus on the area where they reside, attend church, or otherwise feel compelled.

| Intercessorial Positioning is one of the primary ways the Prayer Collective generates prayer directives and prayer targets.

Spiritual Warfare & Fasting

| While all matters concerning spiritual warfare may not be abundantly clear in scripture, it is clear that our struggle is not against flesh, but against the principalities, powers, rulers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).

| With regard to any spiritual warfare that may be necessary, the Prayer Collective has embraced the words of Isaiah, saying, "Here am I. Send me."

| Unable to help a boy, the disciples inquired of Jesus in Matthew 17 as to why they failed. Jesus replied that they had meager faith and that some only go out by prayer and fasting.

| Matthew 6 does not say "if you fast." Rather, it says "when you fast."

| The Prayer Collective embraces fasting as a lifestyle, particularly in light of the guidance provided in Isaiah 58.

Fervent & Effectual Prayer

| While God's answer to prayers may seem somewhat mysterious at times, He is clear that the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16).

| Effectual prayer is praying in Jesus' Name. This concept is driven by the unction of Holy Spirit teaching us to pray as Jesus prayed.

| Fervent prayer is zealous prayer that is marked with passionate intensity.

Praying & Declaring the Word

| The Prayer Collective emphasizes disciplined learning in the Word of God, especially to utilize scripture as the foundation for prayer.

| The Holy Spirit inspires the Prayer Collective to speak Life by speaking the Word of God into our prayer targets and prayer directives.

| The Prayer Collective provides accountability for intercessors in each of these Objectives.
